While admittedly not the best image as far as quality goes, I was swayed to post it due to the great discussions arising from a previous 6060 posting. Other than the Royal York and maybe that CN S13, for a moment Toronto Union looks more like a US terminal. A New York Central sleeper in the business car track and a Southern F7 and N&W unit on a passenger train ?? For the previous week, the NRHS had held its Annual Convention in Toronto and what a time it was. The Southern and N&W units were heading home to Roanoke VA and the NYC sleeper which had arrived on the Southern powered train made its way home on regular trains.
Indeed it was quite a week.

  1. Wow! Southern F unit in Toronto! Good times for sure.

  2. Maybe not the best image Steve, but thank you so much for posting this picture. As commented on your picture of 6060 departing for Niagara Falls with a Convention Special, I had the good fortune to ride the inbound Independence Limited from Alexandria VA & Roanoke.
Very nice to see a picture of the outbound Limited.
