Hey Arnold. Was browsing your photos, and surprised no one has commented here yet.
Did a little researching on the old web, and according to AI / Google, due to inconsistent levels of traffic, and with the Municipality’s ultimate financial decision they decided to remove the ‘junction’ station. I assume this was torn down mid 90s, when the rails were lifted out of downtown Timmins. Too bad too….seems as mentioned, well built sturdy brick structure. Sad it couldn’t be repurposed, but same story applies back then as it does today…due to costs.
That an accurate guess as to the demise of the building.
The sad thing is; the place was the best looking building in town.
