Nice old shot of the eastbound Budds coming down the hill from London back in the days before VIA was formed. I still think this concept was a great 'people mover' and do not understand with all the technology we have today that there are no modern versions of this rail diesel car in production. Pity I took no notes as per numbers...

  1. The leader looks like a 6450-series unit, which would make it a baggage/mail/RPO-only RDC-4. CN had a few in the corridor, this one is likely 6453 (as it has Phase 1 ends, and did time out of Spadina around 1975. The other Phase 1 RDC-4 CN had, 6450, was running out of Halifax NS in 1975).

  2. Thanks, Mr. Dan. I was hoping you had something to offer. I could read what looks like a “4″ and a “5″ on the number board but that was about it.
