For the second weekend in a row I made a tactical error on Saturday and was able to redeem myself on Sunday. I did not catch CP 143 with CMQ 9020 amd 9022 on Saturday, however we lucked out again with CMQ 9023 assigned as the leader on CP 246 on Sunday. By the grace of god everything came together. It sure looked good at Guelph Jct. swinging off the Galt Sub. and on to the Hamilton Sub. at a surprisingly good clip. A nice Father's Day treat. Thanks again to those that provided the heads-up.

  1. Nice shot Rob! I too made a tactical error on Saturday am :)

  2. Rob,

Nice shot. 246 made it to Dundurn St in just under 40 mins. after passing through Guelph Jct. I caught it first at York Rd and was surprised at how fast it was descending the hill.

  3. Thank you. Yes, it was rocket. We shot it at Campbellville Road and at Newman Road, but barely made it there in time. We attempted to make it to Dundurn Street but the train beat us. We were the poor schmucks that were saying hello to your wife as the train went by!

  4. Yeah, everyone is noting the speed on this train. Rocket is a good way of putting it for sure! Quickest I’ve seen GJ to Desjardins, and Kinnear to Welland was no slouch either.
