I’d think there’d still be grain on the move at this time of year and longer. I believe they can go weeks at a time between runs however.

My assumption around grain has been that it moves year-round based on what rail networks can handle and what the market demands for commodities.

I remembered it from when I visited Choiceland; did some digging on them afterwards. The operation out there is a very cool story!
All those little communities out there, with their own grain operation and diminutive switchers are rather fascinating in their own right compared to what we see in Southern Ontario. Everyone helps each other.
