CN#450, North Bay to Mac, occupies the Quetton Street crossing on the Newmarket main and about to enter the Newmarket / Bala Subdivision switch.

   Powered by GP40-2L(W)'s 9562 / 9569 / 9422

At Washago, July 4, 1982 Kodachrome by S.Danko

  Noteworthy

Behind the station (beyond the Timing Circuit sign) is the roadbed of the Northern Railway - Muskoka branch, Allandale Junction to Gravenhurst, opened 1873 to Washago and 1875 to Gravenhurst.

That roadbed abandoned 1955 with the highway 11 Washago bypass construction that realigned the Newmarket parallel to the Bala to the new grade separation
