I guess this is actually Dundas. City boundaries confuse me around there. Anyway, I loved the period of transition on the newly formed VIA Rail Corporation, especially for images like this. The old CN and the new VIA. Quite the contrast. I am on the north side of the Hwy 403 catching the westbound passenger; and on the extreme right is the CP bridge. Off limits these days, but a nice place to shoot way back when.
Power is CN 6789, 6660 and VIA 6537. Because this image was shot on a Sunday, I am wondering if this is train 71. It isn't #75 because it would be getting too dark already in November.

  1. Arnold ; It might be Train # 73. This train was thru Burlington shortly after 1:00 pm

  2. Thanks, Bruce. I realized that after I sent the photo in. My log book, not filled in as I did not document slides like I did prints; showed 2 VIAs taken later on; I assumed they must have been 72 and 73; forgetting we had 83 and 84 in the afternoon, puny as they may have been…….
