Lake Line Railroad consists of some of the former CP Winnipeg Beach subdivision. The sub has been taken over from Selkirk and runs up as far as Gimli, Manitoba; where 'Crown Royal' is made.Rather quiet line. There are two locomotives listed in the Trackside Guide; one of which is an old RS-18, former Wabush Lake 911.(this line now dormant) The unit is now lettered MDXX (Mark David Canada Ltd) and is on lease to the Lake Line RR. We found it at Netley, parked by a grain elevator; but not too much evidence of recent operation. The other unit? No idea. Love these old engines. Sure would look nice with a fresh coat of paint.

  1. The beginning of this caption should have read “Lake” Line Railroad. (not ‘Long’) Typo !!!

  2. A couple weeks later this unit traded the rusted yellow for blue: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1rnvXntdNxFvgjqL0SnZkx8BmzImZSuek/view?usp=sharing

  3. Now that is quite something. Looks like they got the old roller out, eh? Better than nothing, I suppose. No more “Wabush Lake”…….
    THANKS for this Jacob !!
