After lifting a car from the Brampton Brick Limited plant, CP 8208, 1117 and 8243, had then set-off the dump car in the small spur. The units would eventually reverse to their waiting northbound train on the Owen Sound Subdivision in Brampton once the brakeman climbed aboard the bulkhead car, which was likely sitting one crossing away at Sandalwood Parkway.

  1. This is wild. Thank you. One car north to Orangeville???

  2. These are definitely awesome photos! Wanted to see some switching action at Brampton Brick for a long time, thank you so much for posting Jay!
Steve- pretty sure it was more than 1 car going north as Jay mentioned in the caption that rest of the train was still sitting at the next crossing down Sandalwood & after the switch was completed the crew would then back the train back down to Sandalwood and add the 1 new loaded Bulkhead from BB to their train before continuing north.

  3. Right Graydon. I see, well, I’m looking forward to the rest of the series :)

  4. Thanks for the comments guys. Yes they were going to shove back from here to their waiting train, which was one crossing away. Then from there they would proceed north to Orangeville with a sizeable train.
