I never tired of shooting VIA's passenger trains in downtown Winnipeg, especially when they were graced by CN's classy F7Au locomotives. Here we have the 9151 and an unrecorded sister (with an SGU) pausing on the bridge over the Assiniboine River before backing into the station to couple to their train. For a more recent view of the same location, see image 48728 (http://www.railpictures.ca/?attachment_id=48728).

  1. Great capture John! I love how you framed the unit with the words underneath!

  2. Thanks! I should add that this is the power for the tri-weekly (Sunday/Tuesday/Thursday) train to Thompson and Churchill.
