So here's the new patch job from the "second hand" 49xx number series. At least 5 BNSF units have been purchased from BNSF, of the ones formerly on HPH hours. 2316, which is now 4959 is shown in it's beautifully patched paint that will please the 'uglier the better' folks. The Hamilton 0600 is seen shoving into Stelco with a cut of steel gons and a tank for the coke plant.
So whie we're here, and for the folks who were with us this day, Here's what it was like here a while ago.
RLHH (SOR) Train 599 - the Steel Train, in the 2010's
Stelco switching the plant
Dofasco in enemy territory
US Steel switcher after they repainted Stelco locomotives in bright yellow
Three GP9's in three paint schemes - on CP
Three matching CN GP9's
Not to be outdone, three matching CP GP9's

  1. Oh no, another patch. Too bad they couldn’t at least apply the CN noodle like they did for some of the ex-UP Dash 8 units. So, the current BNSF ones we know floating around: 2090, 2317, & 2968, they were purchased or still on loan?

  2. And apply the locomotive number on the side to better allow for positive identification.

  3. Well, at least there is no http://www.cn.ca under the CN.
