The sun begins to rise on a new day silhouetting the unmistakable outline of a cowl SD40-2F. I had been out here during the night doing long exposures, and figured why not come back for sunrise as the forecast called for partly cloudy conditions which usually makes for good colours. Home and work are only 30 minutes from Tilbury, and I had enough time to be in Tilbury for sunrise and still make it to work on time. I'm glad I made that decision as the sunrise was spectacular. 4WHA had been tied down the day before after the crew finished dropping the last strand of rail they had left, and would stay tied down for another full day and night before being lifted by a passing 731.
