Caption: Sitting just to the northwest of the ONR's main shop complex, and under the Hwy 11B overpass were five former New Brunswick Southern GP40-2s. Apparently they had been sold to KKIX for scrapping. My assumption is they are going to be scrapped in North Bay. ( a stop there in Sept showed no sign of them) The units are KKIX 3003, 3000, 3001, 3002 and 3004. On the NBSR they toiled as 8144, 6315, 6319, 6340 and 8145. Perhaps someone who frequents the area can confirm if they are now scrapped (maybe in the process of..) or are way back in the yard, which is congested to the point it is hard to spot anything, even from up on the highway bridge.
