Caption: The second and final trip of the day on the Roberval & Saguenay Alma subdivision arrives at Saguenay Power Junction, which is the end of the line. The lead locomotive, RS 70, is nicknamed ''La Vincent'', as part of a school drawing contest. The 2 other sister locomotives, 71 and 72, which were purchased at the same time as 70, also were nicknamed after children who won the contest. All 3 locomotives were also later fitted with a wrap commemorating the 85th and 95th year of operation of the Vaudreuil Works (the Arvida complex) and of the railway, respectively.

Now this is mighty interesting! THANKS for posting!
I looked at this image and thought.. oh nice, another Matt Watson photo from out west…
this is Quebec? Nicely composed.
@awmooney Thank you for your comment, you’re welcome!
@Stephen C. Host Thanks Stephen! There are quite a few places in our province that can be remindful of the prairies, if looked at in the right angle.
Ian: My blood was getting a bit warmed up for a trip up into this region. After seeing a few of your photos, it is beginning to percolate. Keep the photos coming !!:o)
@awmooney If you’re deciding on a trip to the Roberval & Saguenay, make sure to go catch a few trains at UGB Est junction. Hearing roots-blown 645s running wide open for 10 minutes straight as the train navigate the horseshoe curve is what gets me going every time!
Thanks, Ian: Dutifully noted just in case I get to wandering. Pipe dream right now; but ya never know.
Cheers!! AWM
