Caption: LMS C40-8M's 733, 715 and 722 lead EMD leaser 806 and CN GP40-2LW's 9401 & 9605 on CN train #362 through Bayview Junction on a gloomy day in April 1995.
The LMS 700-series units were part of a group built specifically for a Locomotive Management Services joint lease arrangement between GE, Conrail and CN, apparently spending half the year on CR and CN. After the Conrail split many became NS and CSX units, but a small group of 700's were leased to CN long-term and relettered as IC 2450-series units (the "Blue Devils" as they were sometimes known). The lease was later bought out by CN, and they operated in service until retirement in the early 2020's.

Excellent mid-90′s consist and photo.
Well that’s pretty fantastic!
They weren’t known as blue anything until some kid gave them the name in the 2010′s
Great pic!
