Caption: It is a nice pleasant Sunday morning, July 18, 1993 as South Simcoe Railway's historic 1883 steam engine #136 has pulled up to the station and is about to take on passengers for the 4 mile run. The building pictured is the only station. On the left is the former CP side-rod switcher, #22.
These days the #136, a 4-4-0, once the star of the National Dream TV series, is down for maintenance and will not likely be running in 2026. It will still be business as usual, running weekends from May to October this year via diesel. The run is from Tottenham to Beeton and return. In the Trackside Guide, you will find information listed under 'New Tecumseth', the regional name applied to the area.
