Running about 6 hours late (a CN breakdown caused a nightmarish crew change in Gogama) VIA 2 heads for a stop in Parry Sound....where it will get hooped for another 45 minutes for a northbound stacker. While the treatment it gets is deplorable, there is nothing better looking on the rails anywhere.

    David, beautiful winter shot of a beautiful train ! To me, the Canadian looks its best on a clear sunshine-filled winter day with lots of clean, white snow and pine trees. Well done ! Is this the normal winter consist ? Seems to have an extra dome car. Many thanks for posting, John
