Thunder Rail (TRR) 2004 has just been down to the Crooked River's Richardson Pioneer grain facility to collect a long string of grain cars. The train went around the wye and backed into storage track just north of namesign CN Crane where I am positioned for this photo.
This shortline started up in 2005 using 19.5 miles of track formerly operated by the Carlton Trail. It consists mostly of a spur off of the CN Tisdale Sub. Various grain is the main traffic on the line.

  1. Great railroad, friendly too! I was up there in 2019, they invited me aboard their RS18 while we did their work for the day.

  2. Very nice. Not much coverage of this operation.
