Caption: The second of three sets of Ontario Northland Siemens equipment has been delivered to VIA Toronto Maintenance Centre. Arriving at 00:43, CN L276 negotiated their way through the yard with VIA crews driving ahead to line up their movement to the fuel stand, where ONT 1802 was waiting. Now tied down, CN 5708 has cut away, and runaround for the conductor to grab the EOT before heading back to Aldershot. In the distance, a conductor's lanterns sways, giving hand signals to ONT 1802 as it crawls back towards the newest delivery.

Jacob, great colourful picture ! Also, very informative, now we know there is a 2nd ONR train set at the TMC, and that ONR diesel 1802 is still at VIA’s TMC. Any information on when the 3rd set might arrive ? My guess is that once the 3rd set arrives, 1802 will take all 3 sets coupled together to North Bay. Thanks for posting. By the way, do you ever sleep ?
Thanks, John. Working nights does give an advantage for shooting unusual moves like this. No idea on the final set, but should be soon.
Great photo! Really like the colours.
One heck of a nice shot, Jacob. I agree, you ‘night crawlers’ worm your way into some really interesting places.
Nicely done. Both Northlander sets were sitting side by side along with ONR 1802 in the rain at TMC this morning.
The unimaginable! Nice work and effort Jacob!
Jacob doesn’t sleep when it’s time for trains John. I’m glad he does this so I can sleep
Also Jacob since when did you buy a 600mm lens?
600mm? Hah! Not for this… Had the 18-140mm on, this is at 140.
John, you’re not far from here. You should’ve joined the 3 of us on the bridge.
Brilliant capture Jacob!
