Cold February afternoon sees GO 701 leading train westbound and GO 905 on the rear. I forget exactly, but figure this must be around Oakville sub mile 2 just west of the Exhibition grounds. The 701 later became CN 9669.

  1. This would be the new/current Exhibition GO station next to the CNE. All those old industrial buildings in the background are the old Liberty Village area, now heavily condo-fied.

  2. Thanks, MrDan: Being one of those old(er) farts that stays clear of Metro Toronto I probably would not recognize this area now if GO dumped me out one of their doors.

  3. And you caught one of the signals at Dufferin in the distance. Being on T2 through Exhibition this train may be one of the afternoon Express Trains to Clarkson then Oakville?

  4. Corporate Identity
Even the platform trash barrels were painted in the ‘GO’ scheme back in the day. :-)

  5. Wow!!! What an observation !!! Now, they would be rusted, on their sides, with overflow spewing out. At least that is what I have seen on VIA.
