What a dismal dark day to be watching trains in Parry Sound. But, I'm there. Have to make the best of it. Even getting a decent setting with a film camera was difficult, which is obvious against this dark building.
Its been almost 40 years since this image and I have forgotten the name of the feller passing up the orders as this northbound train roars by. Interesting old time scene.

  1. Rain or not, still a great capture Arnold. A ‘bygone’ era….no more operator, no more yellow Vans so iconic with CPs colorful freight rolling stock….those were great memories of my childhood.

  2. OH! Forgot to say how dare that one guy on the platform, wearing the Maple Leaf blue and white in Bobby Orrs hometown too! LOL

  3. No doubt his wife had him remove the emblem.

  4. Very cool scene Arnold! An era gone by.
