At one time, CP station at Golden was a busy place with crews coming and going as well as being a VIA stop. Times changed; the station closed, and was moved in 1988 to become the local museum, as far as I recall.
Here's a morning view with CP 8519 alongside, having just rolled out of the yard with a lengthy train.

  1. Beautiful picture Arnold!

  2. Thanks, Ian.
I was in Golden last fall and I did see the station as a museum now; moved well away from its former location. So much has changed around Golden that I could not figure out where the building once was as you see in this photo. It felt like I had never been in the town before.
