No GO
Stenciled ONT 613 on the vestibule end, this ex-GO Transit commuter car sits on the well-stocked deadline in the ONR yard at North Bay, ON May 4, 2004.
Hawker Siddeley built in 1967 and retired in 2001, it has found its way, with several other retired GO Transit cars to North Bay for rebuild, or as a parts doner.
Also on this day, ONT 608 (ex-GOT 1030, exx-GOT 9930, nee GOT 4730) was in the lineup and looking pretty sad as well.

  1. Makes you wonder where the demand is for this sort of car these days.

  2. Now I read commentary by ‘MrDan’ in regards to the single level cars like this. Perhaps it would have made sense for KRC to acquire a few.

  3. Absolute gem of a photo, when cars were Canadian made. Sad state it’s in…but at least being rebuilt breathes new life, for a car built the same year the Leafs last won a Stanley Cup!
