A rather oily Century...

...heads up CP Rail Eastbound with 4207 – 4247 – 4203 – 8778 – 4705 (DH),

As far as I can determine only the RS-18 8778 found a second tour as a rebuild to: 1858

At the Bee Bridge(s), Nichols Road July 26, 1987 Kodachrome by S.Danko

With a pair of ConRail brown 'mini hi cubes' on the head end,

Look closely bottom right: a burnt Bee Bridge, a spring grass fire burned the south end of the CP Rail bridge & closed the bridge.

By 1998 CP Rail 1858 (and a bunch of sisters) to New Brunswick East Coast Railway, 1858 retired June 2002.

  1. Great photo. A little further down the line at Port Hope, my Aunt and Uncle owned a house on Peacock boulevard. Looking out their kitchen window provided a clear view of all action on the CP. Nowadays, it’s all built up.

One can’t help but also notice the old blue CAST cars just a little further back from the ‘Conrail Cubes’….

  2. Nice shot. Glorious consist. Awh, the old “Bee” bridge. (sigh)
