Caption: What more could you ask for?
Camera, radio, timetable, front seats, great on-board service, and no one else in the dome!
For 90% of my recent trip to and from Churchill April 28 to May 2 I had one of the two front seats with table.
There were only three people in Sleeper Plus Class allowing for use of 'the best seats in the house' for most of the journey.
VIA 8503 Skyline was like having my own private car on this trip! :-)

Great photo! I eel like I am right there with ya, looking at the emptiness of the dome car.
Some guys are so spoiled, eh?
)
With a view like that, and an area all to one self? DEFINITELY!
Like having your own Private Car, the only thing missing is beer.
…..and the dancing girls………..
A person could easily pretend that they have their own business car. With staff to wait on you. Nice.
Hey, I think I’ve seen you on the monopoly gameboard, taking a ride on the shortline.
Nothing beats a seat in a Budd dome car. I haven’t been in one in 50 years but I still remember it well.
Thanks for all the comments!
The beers would arrive later in the afternoon and evening. No dancing girls ever showed up.
Some of the Park and Skyline cars used on the Churchill train and The Skeena might have the same interiors as when you were last in one Eric.
Many thanks to LP for editing the above photo.
