Caption: Head of the class CP 5000 assisted by 2291 are seen rolling eastward on approach to the old station at Nelson, BC. The 5000 was delivered to CP on 5/12/2013 from Progress Rail, Mayfield, KY. It is an SD30C-ECO, rebuilt from the old CP 5950. Trailing unit is classed as a GP20C-ECO.
Nelson sure has changed over the years. Besides the loss of that classic Shop facility, it appears downtown to be a refuge for wayward hippies. :o)
