Caption: While waiting for the short lived tourist train to depart, myself and a railfan fried snuck down to the shop to find a trio of out of service RS23’s and this pair on the shop track. It was such an interesting operation that I regret never making a return trip to see again. I alway had a thing for CP’s RS23’s especially after catching them working countless times on the Ontario Southland. On the Windsor & Hauntsport only one unit received corporate paint while the rest retained patched CP paint. One even had a multi-mark. Sadly in the end all met the scrappers torch with their prime movers sold to a navel company.
