Caption: It’s hard to resist not heading out after a night of fresh snow. Another one of those GP38 shots. I alway liked CP’s small and unique fleet of GP38AC’s while they look very similar to run of the mill GP38’s they do have some different details along with being the oldest GP38’s on the roster. After spending most of their lives assigned to western Canada along with Vancouver Island they were finally scattered across the system several years ago. 3004 and 3005 received a special paint scheme while working on the island but when CP gave up the trackage they were gradually repainted back to full CP paint. Today the majority of the small fleet survives with only a few retired. It was nice having 3004 in Southern Ontario for a brief period before returning to the States. Here it and another GP roll east under fresh powder at Meadowvale after working Hornby yard. Back in 2020 H24 would work Streetsville yard before heading to Hornby and back home to Toronto. This explains the covered hoppers in the consist.
