The CN 15:30 Kitchener Job with GP9RM 7030 makes a mid-afternoon appearance in downtown Waterloo, having just crossed Caroline and Erb Streets. The crew was heading to the town of Elmira, Ontario on the Waterloo Spur light power. Often during the month of July in the 90’s, with the Budd Plant in Kitchener slowing production for summer shut down, they didn’t require CN service daily, so the 15:30 Job would head to Elmira earlier in the afternoon rather than later in the evening.

  1. Great photo Jason! But, a couple of questions….what were you standing on to get this angle?

And, is that a regular caravan or the Grand Caravan of the day? LOL
