Back in 1992 the NS did some Business Train inspections to see first hand the operations and routes that NS trains ran. The hope had been that this train would bring additional NS trains to southern Ontario, but alas that was not the case. Here a relatively new pair of NS GP59's lead NS's inspection train west on the Canada Southern at Comber, Ontario.

  1. Here’s a shot of the other “Special” – not quite the Norfolk Southern, not really sure who you can say operated this one (CN most likely as it was on CN track likely with CN crew), but it’s neat nonetheless:

  2. We’re even, Geoff. I did not know this NS train ran………sure would have been nice to see. I would have assumed it ran over the 327/328′s trackage into Niagara. Any idea?

  3. I know it came out of Buffalo that morning so it most certainly would have been under 327/328 trackage rights. Based on the light and date this would have been shot around 1800hrs. Train was loaded as all the ‘High Rollers’ were gazing at us out the theatre window on the rear of the train…..
