Joe Harrison's 174 photos on Railpictures.ca:
![I found an old photo of this bridge, the Fraser River Bridge, taken while under construction that was dated 1930. In this 1995 photo, southbound BCR 4615 and 742 are approaching Lillooet as they cross the bridge at Polley with a loaded sulphur train. It's unfortunate that since CNs take over of BC Rail in the early 2000s, courtesy the B.C. Government, that what was once a world class railway experience, has disappeared forever.](http://www.railpictures.ca/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/BCRXS4615.742.-MP160.3.SNSPolley.BCRLillooetSub.-0928hrs.04.15.1995-200x150.jpg)

![CN 2680 and 2687 are westbound and stopped in the Thompson Canyon at Morris on CNs Ashcroft Sub. Less traffic and a more than usual amount of maintenance equipment right now ... no doubt the political climate and unseasonably good weather are both at play here, although not so much the latter I think.](http://www.railpictures.ca/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/CNXW2680.2687.MP89.8.SNSMorris.-CNAshcroftSub1000hrs.02.14.2020-200x150.jpg)

I was reminded of this photo when reading the news of January 14, 2020 regarding a runaway grain car at Field B.C. The car rolled out of the yard and derailed just over six Km later. ![Another shot of the Kaoham Shuttle consisting of CN 10800 (ex BCOL TU-108) and CN 10900 (ex BCOL TU-109) built by Jim Busby Services in 1999 and purchased by BC Rail in 2002. The units were upgraded I believe, in 2012, with among other things, washrooms, air conditioning, improved heating and bike racks. Today, the shuttle is sharing the station siding with several BCOL wood chip cars - a sign of modern times, and at the scheduled 1530 hr. departure time, will back away from the station and onto the mainline before proceeding south to Shalalth and Seton Portage.](http://www.railpictures.ca/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/CN.KaohamShuttleXS10800.10900.-MP157.6.SNSLillooet.-LillooetStation.CNLillooetSub-1330hrs.11.04.2019-200x150.jpg)

![This image was taken with permission in early December of 1997 when CPR 2860, an H1e Class MLW 4-6-4 Royal Hudson built in 1940, was in for repairs at BC Rails North Vancouver shops. A great Canadian icon, with a larger than life presence in these confined and dimly lit quarters. She seemed to be sleeping but very much alive, and needless to say, I enjoyed every minute.
Purchased by the Province of British Columbia in 1973 to promote tourism, the 2860 is now on permanent loan to the Westcoast Railway Heritage Park in Squamish B.C.
