![CP westbound 5803 with the 6024 and 5522 trailing, are approaching the east portal of a short tunnel at Katz on CPs Cascade Sub. The portal extends out from the cliff face, providing a concrete platform, perfectly sized to fit two photographers and their gear. Needless to say, we were covered in coal dust as the train passed through the tunnel. Fond memories in the making.](http://www.railpictures.ca/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/CPXW.5803.6024.5525.MP47.2.SNSKatz.-CPCascadeSub.1405hrs.04.23.1995-200x150.jpg)

The units were upgraded I believe, in 2012, with among other things, washrooms, air conditioning, improved heating and bike racks. Today, the shuttle is sharing the station siding with several BCOL wood chip cars - a sign of modern times, and at the scheduled 1530 hr. departure time, will back away from the station and onto the mainline before proceeding south to Shalalth and Seton Portage.](http://www.railpictures.ca/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/CN.KaohamShuttleXS.10900.10800.-MP157.6.SNSLillooet.-LillooetStation.CNLillooetSub.-1330hrs.11.04.2019-200x150.jpg)

I've heard, through the grapevine, that CN may close the line from Nth Van to Williams Lake. I live near this route and there's maybe one train a week if that.
