![Passing under the new Dickinson Road bridge over CP, 9586 leads the second section of a train that doesn't run on the Belleville Sub anymore. Well, except as overflow traffic once in a great while.
<br><br>
The bridge, which has already been nicknamed the 'banana bridge' (thx Delic), is an interesting design employing laminated components. The bridge it replaced was of a far more common, traditional design. What you can't see is the north (left) end of the bridge is at the end of Dickinson Road, forming the bottom of a Tee intersection with Marsh Road. This is no different than the previous bridge, except that the angle is too steep and the span essentially a hump (think of a banana), deterring motorists approaching from that end taking a run at it. No problem in dry weather, but in its first winter, I saw more than a few vehicles turned back by it's snow or ice covered surface, unable to crest the hump. An amusing distraction while waiting for a train. 1708hrs.](http://www.railpictures.ca/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/CP9586-2-241-Port-Hope-07-26-15-1708-200x150.jpg)

![Working 105's train solo, CN 8101 leans through the sharp curve and crosses McCowan Road on it's way north. In a very short stretch, the Canadian Northern, builder of the Bala Sub, saw fit that a northbound train will do a fair bit of twisting and turning in order to keep a reasonable grade up the Oakridges Moraine. 1249hrs.](http://www.railpictures.ca/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/CN8101-105-Pine-Orchard-06-21-15-1249a-200x150.jpg)

![I simply cannot let that Host character outdo me, here's CN 8103 leading 422 at Ash, a little south of Milton. CN 2868 trails, making it a two builder, all-AC traction consist; not the easiest thing to catch on CN. ![Looming out of the fog, CN 4018 and 7069 lead 516's 56 cars up the grade to Newtonville through Lovekin (yeah ok, Newcastle). The fog and an accompanying chill in the air, rolled in rather suddenly off Lake Ontario, and yielded a few interesting shots of this guy working east to Belleville. Not sure how many of the 4000 series GP9RM's are still working on CN, but I know there aren't too many left. 1729hrs.](http://www.railpictures.ca/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/CN4018-7069-516-Lovekin-05-10-15-1729-200x150.jpg)

![On the curve approaching the entrance to the OPG Pickering compound, HEPX 200 is gingerly eased towards it's final destination. Though it seems odd on the surface to catch a six axle the size of a C44-9W on a seldom used spur, given the weight of the typical shipment on the spur, it's actually pretty appropriate. They even left the buffer gons behind at the run around track a little ways north. 1400hrs.](http://www.railpictures.ca/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/CN2622-L350-Pickering-04-26-15-1400-200x150.jpg)

![Having arrived at the spur to Ontario Power Generation's Pickering Nuclear generating station, which is a wye, I found it a little odd that the crew chose to run through the west leg of the wye. This necessitated a run around move on the run around track at Clements Road, and I'm sure there was a good reason for this, which allowed for a few shots of the move in a brief period of sun. Still lovin' that van! 1347hrs.](http://www.railpictures.ca/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/CN2622-L350-Pickering-04-26-15-1347-200x150.jpg)
