A Buffalo Chapter NRHS fantrip ran on CP on July 19th 1959, with three different sets of power used on the train. CPR D10's 1098 & 1092 are shown here hauling the train through Cataract, on the leg of the fantrip between Streetsville Junction to Orangeville and back.     I know 1098 was saved, and is now on Reading and Blue Mtn., unfortunately, painted blue. What about the other?

    This image makes me wonder where all the fantrips have gone. Liability insurance probably killed most of them.

    Insurance and legal liability laws have killed the great steam trips. In many cases, it’s entirely unjustified, but nobody wants to be left holding the bag. Truly sad.
