A scene during a quiet weekend morning at the Woodstock, Ontario yard includes a nest of CP GP9u’s, a cut of vintage boxcars and a classic searchlight signal. Three decades later, and almost everything is gone. Although 8235, now continues to work away on the nearby St. Thomas Subdivision under the employ of the Ontario Southland Railway.

  1. Love the old geeps!

  2. Me too! Thanks for the comment Mike.

  3. That scene remained largely untouched until 2009-2010, then the CP Rail trailer was painted brown, and the signal was re-located sometime before the mid 2000′s to Dundas St.

There was at least one pair of engines parked here into 2009 at least – I think they basically re-located the yard set to Pender Yard thereafter after that opened.

The trailer is now gone (good luck keeping anything in there secure these days)
