Now that is remarkable. It was hard enough to catch a train on that bridge, let alone a pair of cabooses as shown and a sunny perfect day as well.

I’m wondering if Wabash/N&W vans regularly appeared on CN or vice versa on the Cayuga. Interesting catchy either way.
Arnold, these slides held up well. Just a touch of brightening and slight colour saturation. Not much dust either.
Jacob, that’s because these slides were never out of the metal slide box for over 50 years. Thanks to you they are now seeing the light of day. Thank you everyone for your nice comments, but really, all I did was aim my trusty Pentax camera and push the button. Thanks to Kodak Kodachrome and Pentax, producers of high quality film and a good camera. Mother Nature had a hand what with blue skies and sunshine, John
Did you have a K-1000, John ?? Most all of us did back then.
The 906 foot long bridge now carries the Cayuga Grand Vista Trail providing nice views of the Grand River.

HOLY CRAP! I had forgotten that I favourited your photo sometime ago John. Used to live in Cayuga. At the time, lived with my parents on Winnett Street. At the end of this street, I believe is the old station grounds.
Cayuga had a station, and somewhere in my photos at home I have a photo of the last station to have stood at Cayuga. I believe it was a CN replacement to the structure that may have been built either by the GTR (as a replacement structure) or from the GWR era. Freight shed stood across by the old Co Op Mills. I also took photos of a demolished building, I believe was the freight shed – before this area was built up.
As Terry mentioned, the bridge sat abandoned for some time but now carries the trail over it. I haven’t had a chance to walk it yet. But, someday, on one of our trips home to Jarvis – I hope to do this.
