Back when I realized I was going to be stuck in this hobby of railroad photography, I always enjoyed seeing these GP38-2 units with their basic black paint and sleek sides; as in: No Blisters. They have been endless workhorses; from their birth in 1972-73; then rebuilt and renumbered to the 4700 series in 1988. They are still seen around the country working short runs and local jobs. It has been a long time since a trio looked as nice as these. CN 5522, 5523 and 5516 heading west on approach to the junction.

    I wish locomotive manufacturers would still build sleek looking engines, they all look so cheaply built with their sharp edges and corners rathern than rounded ones and their protuding radiators and cabinets. Nice shot of that perfect trio Arnold!
