CN 438 lead by CN GMD1 1412, CN 6020 and CN 7058 lead a short freight just North of Essex over the CASO. The three locomotives and blowing snow give the impression of a much larger train, but back then as today, trains 438/439 didn't usually run on Sundays, so seeing this 9-car freight this day with this power was rather exciting. Caught it on my way to the Essex train show, only 78 days before total abandonment.

    Great photo. Doesn’t 1412 normally work out of Oakville? Also I wonder what happened to that CN Essex sign… :)

    Funny, first thing I thought of was that sign too. After I admired a nice photo, though :o )
