CN SD40 5035 and GP35 4001 work Aldershot yard in February 1968. The 5035 was built in early 1968 and may be on one of its early "shake-down" runs; the 4001 was built in August 1964 and was one of only two such units on CN. (The current GO station and parking lot would be to the north of the units in this view taken from the Waterdown Road bridge.)

  1. How many tracks would Aldershot yard have had at the time of this photo? Also, did the spur leading off to the right serve Howard Cement?Fantastic image as usual.

  2. There were five tracks with a lead on both the east and west ends on the one closest to the main lines.
