Caption: CP Rail 380, the Toronto - Peterborough Budds are seen passing through West Toronto station, taking the Galt Sub to the west side of the interlocking. After CN 987, the Toronto - Guelph commuter run clears, the Budds will be eastbound for Leaside and their regular routing. For about ten days in April 1973, this move was done on account of mudslides on the Belleville Sub Don branch near the Prince Edward Viaduct. On one occasion, there was an issue with the interlocking, and the Budds were required to use the Galt - Mactier connecting track, swinging east onto the North Toronto Sub at Osler.

This is a gem. Have not seen a image quite like this for West Toronto before.
Pure gold. I agree with Arnold’s sentiments….I too have not seen anything like this photo at West Toronto.
Quick question…railway employee or rail fan standing by the CTC signal?
Yes, Todd. So far, vastly underappreciated.
There’s so much to look at here.
I also enjoy how the crop perfectly aligns with the rails to lead the eye.
That composition is all John, I didn’t need to crop at all.
