Crew from a rail train wave at the crew of T72 as they exchange pleasantries meeting on the CPR Waterloo Subdivision just north of the Highway 24 overpass. A rare place for two trains to meet, but the work train basically ducked out of the way here to meet T72 as they had to work on the Galt. The Fergus sub from Concession ave to the switch pictures here is leased by the CPR, and CNR has access to the BWXT tracks (at right) to serve as a customer, but they have yet to do so since GEXR left town.

  1. Great shot Steve!

  2. Nice meet on the Waterloo Subdivision Steve.

On August 22, CP pulled a loaded car out of BWXT. It was interchanged with CN at Kitchener and taken to Stratford where it was interchanged to GEXR for off-loading on the Goderich Subdivision for Bruce Power. Apparently there are 8 more of these scheduled to be built and shipped by BWXT before Christmas.

  3. Wow so they have finally begun. Funny how CN isn’t doing it, they have the track… what’s wrong? Now they have to pay CP for some of the line haul.
