Eastbound CP train #414 seen rumbling over the CN at the diamond in Coniston. CP 5414 leads a leased unit I rarely had the pleasure of seeing, EMDX 8300, an Electro-Motive SD60 that was one of three (8300-8302) demonstrators that operated over Burlington Northern for a time. The three ended up on CP for a good length of 1997, thru Locomotive Leasing Partners, but this one was the only unit I caught. Impressive looking beast.

  1. Nice view, you did a bit of rock climbing to get that shot.

  2. Thanks, Terry. This was back when I was young (sob, sniffle).
