  1. Boy, does this shot bring back memories? You betcha? I’d like to have a dollar for every time I crossed the trestles at Lock 4 on my way to or back from the area where the third Welland Canal was located. Apparently – today – thanks to the no-good-niks amongst us, it is very difficult to access Lock 4, and that area where the third Welland Canal once was.

  2. 9/11 brought lots more security to the canal as well. I’ve seen this bridge get crossed lots of times since then, but I don’t suggest it at all. The seaway people tend to get pissy about it.

  3. Speaking of the need for more security, remember – not too long ago – there were the two guys who were planning to blow up a train and/or trestle in the Niagara area?

  4. The crossing from USA to Canada I believe.

  5. It was the bridge over the harbour at Jordan those guys were accused of plotting to blow up.
    THAT would have been something!

  6. Nice Shot Martin!

  7. Thank you!!
