I don't remember much about this train, it was very much the typical consist you could see on this train back then, with one of the omnipresent ES44DCs up front. What was nice about that day was the cloudy sky, which allowed to take a shot that would otherwise be ruined by the sun shinning directly into the camera.

  1. And double track? Or is that a siding?

  2. It is Sacré-Coeur siding, the longest one on the Mont-Joli subdivision. Both consists of the VIA Ocean train usually meets there at night. On rare occasions 402 can meet 559 there too, though it has not happened in a long time.
