In March 1998, Quebec-Gatineau Railway (QGRY) GP35 2500 was released fully repainted in G&W’s orange colors. Previously to that, the unit originally was built by EMD for Southern Pacific during 1965 and was numbered 7724. More than 56 years after emerging from the EMD facility in Illinois, QGRY 2500 is viewed during a summer evening in Goderich beside Goderich-Exeter Railway’s shop having only completed one revenue trip in the past couple years due to various mechanical ailments.
