Caption: It’s hard to believe it has been 15 years since I last crossed paths with Cando GP9 1001. The last time was sadly the final run to Collingwood. I can only wish I was railfanning back when CN still ran through Barrie. Allandale yard was once a busy and important division point for all the branchlines that once were fed from the yard there. The 1980’s and 90’s claimed almost all of the lines including severing CN’s New Market sub. as a through route. Today only GO Transit and Barrie Collingwood remain. Thanks to an early start today I was able to finally cross paths again with the veteran high hood GP9. (A big thanks to a well known railroader for information on today’s run) today’s train only had two cars out of Utopia and left the run around track with 3 more. Here the train has just finished running around its train at the end of track under Highway 400 and will now serve one last customer on its way home.
