It finally happened, 431 stalled on the Acton grade last night, forcing the two units (CN 2409, 9473) to back the train from near Acton back to CN Peel at the Bramalea Station. This morning a new crew was called to finish the trip, coming from Mac with extra power in the form of GP9u 4131. The unit are seen dragging their 8300 tons of freight through the street running portions of Guelph just west of mile 49 on what was one of the first sunny days we've seen in quite awhile.

  1. There certainly wasn’t a better day for this to happen. Nice shot Jacob!

  2. There is a little comedy in CN’s idea of rescue power……….

  3. Thanks Jason.
@Dave, certainly was an interesting choice, I’m not complaining though :-)

  4. Also of note, 4131 started out as NAR 207

  5. Thanks for the NAR tidbit Jacob. :-)
