It's doubtful that CN's Fergus Spur will ever seen a weed spraying train. However in this view as bad as the growth is, it would be much worse on the spur here if CN L542 wasn't assigned to it's regular Cambridge outpost. The power for L542, which includes 4726 and GMTX 2274 is viewed spending a quiet afternoon tied down on the Fergus Spur in Cambridge.

  1. Very cool composition photo Jay, honestly always thought it was pretty neat to see a train on a overgrown spur. Just Gave this pic its first star ⭐️

  2. The track and the 4726 are competing as to who looks the most worn out and neglected. :-)
    Well done Jason.

  3. Very nice Jason! Haha @LarryParks and @Railfan99 same here. I love watching Youtube of bad trackwork and trains travelling on overgrown rail lines. The number board on the right is classic. Again..You’d think a big Class-1 would have it fixed.. Looks to me like a shortline locomotive (albeit with CN noodle intact)

  4. Always pretty to see trains in high grass. Terrible for the train in terms traction. Some bad wheel slip when this happens. I have had this situation a few times. LOL thats when we get out an put dirt on the rails to give us traction

  5. Thanks very much for all the comments guys.
