Light at the end of the tunnel and thank goodness the headlight at the other end was extinguished and in the siding. A muggy July afternoon southbound on the Rocky Mountaineer "Fraser Discovery" exiting the 3800 foot long Shalalth tunnel on the BC Rail Squamish subdivision. We are approaching the north siding switch at Seton siding, our meet was "in the clear". This being "dark territory" OCS we would have a restriction(s) at the south siding switch to "restore to normal" "do not proceed until XXXX north arrives at", identify the train we were meeting, restore the switch and then we would proceed to our final destination at Whistler.

  1. Absolutely fantastic picture!!! I could never get over mainline switches being left lined for passing tracks.

  2. I waited countless trips for this shot.
