On an overcast day in Thunder Bay, I didn't really feel like taking cloudy shots around town so I decided I'd go for a little road trip west along the Trans Canada to Ignace, after hearing that this pair was still tied down in the yard. Worst case scenario I figured I'd at least see some new sights along the way. As I got closer to Igance, the sun started making the odd appearance, and I managed to get a little break in the clouds for a few shots of CP 5866 and CP 3649. Despite the clouds, it was a rather hot day so I treated myself to a swim in Agimak Lake afterwards - what more could you ask for in July? This shot was taken a little over two weeks after David Young took this image of Ignace.

  1. Interesting. 3649 led an oil train on the Galt Sub in Jan 2015, when it was UP still. I believe I have a shot of it on here. There seems to always be good power up that way.

  2. It was on January 31st, 2015 Kevin.
